I am looking at setting up and running a directory, and I would like to give the sites that are listed the link popularity they deserve. Trouble is, the directory scripts I like all have click thru link algo's for listings, e.g, http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/clickthru.cgi?link=http://www.targetdomain.com Can Google's scripts see the www.targetdomain.com and give it link pop from my directory? |

Hi, It doesn't appear so. Using this query on Google: ://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&safe=off&q=inurl%3A%22link%3Dhttp%22 A number of listings came up which have that same setup on them. This query found the links to the page, but the forwarding is not active. So the cgi->to->other_url doesn't "pop" as you put it. See the one titled CountM v0.6 - Link Info showing link: webinteraktiv.create-now.net/countm/ index.php?page=linkinfos&link=http:www.quellcodes.de for the best example of this. Thanks, webadept-ga |
