Hello curlytoo,

I have not been able to find the association you are seeking.
However, I have found one article that states obesity is one of three
conditions commonly associated with perforated appendicitis. One
third of the study subjects were children. Otherwise, several papers
claim obesity to be a predisposing factor in children for primary
torsion of the omentum, which commonly mimics acute appendicitis. One
paper presents findings against this association. If these references
will be acceptable as an answer, I can provide them.

Thanks for your efforts so far. However I have already accessed the
first article throught medline. As my research is restricted to
histologically diagnosed appendicitis torsion of the omentum is not
relevant.

Looking forward to seeing what else you can find.

Regards Curly Too.
