We would like a list of the top 10 major travel and retail trade shows
and conferences within the USA in 2003. When doing your search, think
of this - you are searching for large conferences that speak to
industry executives, where your client can either potentially speak to
those audiences or attend to gain new business leads. The client is
an email agency that targets Fortune 1000 companies (clients include
Travelocity, Blockbuster, etc.)

Can you be more specific in the retail arena? Or are you looking for
trade shows that focus on operations within the retail sector? I
understand the target audience being Fortune 1000, however, there are
literally thousands of trade shows focused on retail. Examples would
be furniture, clothing, computers, etc. Each of these areas will
typicall have trade shows that are focused on their particular
vertical. If you have a couple of areas you would like to focus on,
let me know. Travel is fairly generic, so that should be no problem.

Yes, you are right. Please focus on retail as it relates to video
stores, anything video rental related, sales, technology for retail,
merchandising, mass market retailing (any kind of product), etc. My
client represents Blockbuster Video. Thanks :)

Hi, David..

I have almost completed your request for your video/retail
information. From looking at your question again, you said "travel
and retai". Are you also looking for travel related trade shows and
conferences or were you lumping travel and retail together? In regards
to travel, I can tell you that several of the major travel related
shows are international given the nature of the business.

David...are you still interested in the travel portion of your question?

Hi Tar Heel,

Yes, travel and retail are separate. An example of a good travel show
is the PhoCusWright Show. We're also looking for large scale shows
within the U.S that are attended by high-level executives.

Thanks again,
David

The video rental market is major segment of several sectors including
retail
and entertainment. As such, there are a wide variety of trade shows
that
cater to those in this market. Below is a listing of some of these
shows.
Being that they are scheduled for 2003, there may not be much
information
available, however, most of the websites do have a way of being placed
on a
list that will allow you to receive information when it becomes
available.

The travel industry, from my research, appears to have more trade
shows and conferences than any other industry I have ever seen. While
there are quite a few large events in the United States, due to the
nature of the industry, a large number of shows are held outside of
the United States
