Looking for a Web site that manages multiple use calendars. We are
not on a network nor do we have a server. We need a site that would
act as our server and 5 people can use and check each others
calendars.

Hi maryo:

Thanks for the interesting question!

I've searched in many places for remotely hosted web-based calendar
systems that require no server or networks on your part and allow for
multiple users to read each other's information.

The following are the two options that I believe will fit your needs
best.

Hunt Calendars
**************

Description: "First and foremost, Hunt Calendars are designed to be
easy to use. The simple, intuitive interface makes it possible for
anyone to use effectively. Calendars can be created for personal use
or shared by a group. Anyone can create a calendar and immediately
begin using it. There is currently no charge for creating and using
calendars. However, we offer calendar customization for a small fee."

URL: http://www.huntcal.com/

Cost: $0 for basic version. $49.95/year/calendar for customizable
version.

Additional Features: You can create "group calendars" that multiple
people can view/alter and/or you can create individual calendars that
select others can view. See more details at
http://www.huntcal.com/features.shtml

Yahoo! Calendar
***************

Description: The Yahoo! calendar service is available to anyone who
signs up for a Yahoo! account (free). Each individual user can set up
a calendar with different types of events, etc. then by using the
"Sharing" function, you can open your calendar to others in your group
to view.

URL: http://calendar.yahoo.com/,,,/?

Cost: $0

Downsides: Doesn't allow you to see multiple calendars at one time or
to organize meetings across users.

If neither of these two options are what you are looking for, please
specify (using the Clarification feature) further details about
exactly what functionality you want in your calendar application. I
will then research further for you, if necessary. Please allow me to
do this further research *before* you rate this answer.

Thanks!

There are only 3 people in our office but we use Yahoo's online
calendar and we've done so for at least the last 2 years. We tried
the Palm calendar (when it was on the net) but quickly went back to
Yahoo. The way we do it without any confusion is this: When you
enter your new appointment or to do or whatever on any given date, you
first enter your initials in capital letters then a colon and then the
appointment. We use this method very successfully. Hope this helps.
