I want to keep a daily journal on a PC running Windows 95/98/2000
(either).

I've tested a couple of programs including Journal Pro and The
Journal. I like The Journal, but it crashes a lot, doesn't handle
pictures very well, and doesn't sync with a Pocket PC.

So the question is: where can I find a PC journal program that
handles images, and syncs with a Pocket PC?

Robertg..

Thanks for your question about products that will allow you to use
your PC and PDA to maintain a daily journal. I have found a couple
products that should fit your needs:

My Personal Diary by CAM Development has created a Beta version for
the Pocket PC. You can get a 30-day trial of the PC version and
download the beta of the Pocket PC version at
http://www.camdevelopment.com/pim/my_personal_diary/default.htm

Pocket Diary is a product that will allow you keep a diary/journal on
your PC and PDA. It has a variety of plug-ins as well thatIt also has
a 30-day trial and can be found at http://goopers.com/programs/pdiary/

Thanks again for your question and if you need any clarification,
please let me know!

THV,

I actually tried the first one - My Personal Journal - but it doesn't
have a Pocket PC piece as far as I know.

The second one - Pocket Diary - has a PDA version, but it is for the
Palm.

I'm looking for journal programs that can be updated through a Pocket
PC and and a Windows Desktop.

Robertg,

The link for the Pocket PC version of My Personal Diary is
http://www.camdevelopment.com/beta.htm

My apologies regarding the Pocket Diary. I saw the screen shot and
assumed it was Pocket PC.

I have found

My Diary - Doesn't look as though it supports images, though you may
want to take a look
http://www.pocketpcskins.com/mydiary.html

I did find a product called Portable Journal, from Swiftware, however,
the link to order it from their homepage
(http://www.portablejournal.com/)did not work. However, I did find it
available via http://shop.store.yahoo.com/jandr/cbp-journal-c.html .
However, I would see if you can contact either the publisher at
PortableJournal.com or someone at JandR.com to see if it is availble
before you order.

Hope this helps!
