You would probably be best suited to go with an outboard Vs I.O. or
inboard. I would take a look at a Boston Whaler, Scout, Cobia or Sea
Swirl. For the money, the Scout 202 Dorado should be a good performing
boat but it does not have a head. Cobia has a great dual consol with a
head under the port consol. Whalers are expensive, but hold their
value. Sea Swirl has some nice walk about's in the 24' range with a
decent size cabin. I would also suggest that you go with a four stroke
engine. They are more expensive, but are quiet and fuel efficient. Be
sure to add a Bimini top as well as all of the USCG required gear. You
may want to visit the web sites of the manufacturers. Cobia and Scout
are powered by Yamaha out boards.
