Hello larissa,

On UK Flipside it is listed as being available, however, I ran into a
"stack error" message when I tried to get into it.

I went to the main site and found thar Flipside did a restructuring of
their sites:

"What happened to iWin and Flipside? What happened to my favorite
game?
www.flipside.com is now the site for corporate and press information
about the Flipside Network. www.uproar.com is our site devoted to
multi-player games.
www.iwin.com will be devoted to Cash Competitions and you can probably
figure out that www.virtualvegas.com will continue to be our free
casino site."
Info from http://help.flipside.com/topten/topten.asp?s=topten1

Although Wordox is not given in the list of games below this
announcement, it is nevertheless listed on the Uproar site at
http://www.uproar.com/games/games.asp - look under Puzzles. The game
appears to be active - it wants to download something to your computer
when you try to access it. It operates in a subdirectory of Uproar
called Hoyle. In the UK, the Uproar URL gets diverted to UK Flipside.
So if you simply want to play, you can do so through the US Uproar
site.

BTW, I also found this site, which gives you lists of words to use
with Wordox: http://www.thewordlist.com/fullword.html

and here's a bulletin board for Wordox players (last posting October
10): http://wordox.proboards9.com/

and a wordox "portal" with various links: http://www.avatar.eu.org/

happy wordplay!

Oh, I LOVE Wordox! Unfortunately I haven't been playing of late due
to some Java issues on my new XP machine... But this link should get
you straight to the game.

http://uk.flipside.com/go.asp?game=wordox&channel=wordgames#nowhere

Most people play in Rated Room 1, unlike the OLD Wordox, where nearly
everyone was to be found (for some weird reason) in Rated Room 2.

Happy Oxing! Have a game for me!

A.

Sorry Araminty, it doesn't - at least not on my machine. I just get a
StackOverflowError, whatever that may be!

Hello Doxers -
for anyone still trying to find a game of Wordox,
this works today - but the time bell is ringing on the
last remaining Flipside game, get it while you can, go to
             http://www.fswordox.com
'back-door' links to Rooms 1 & 2

There is also a forum, run by the Flipside Community Hosts
              http://www.flipside-forums.co.uk
for the latest regarding Flipside's continuing 'rien ne va plus' frenchness,
and, while we wait for some action, some cool Tango-Tossing games.

See you there.
