Before I attempt to answer your question, let me first suggest a clear
method of making your inquiry. You see, each state has it's own laws
pertaining to the ownership and possession of a firearm. While no
state has a prohibition against gun ownership (except by prohibited
persons, such a convicted felons), all states have laws pertaining to
the possession of guns in public places. Some states consider a mobile
home, camper or vehicle to be an extention of the home, while others
do not. Moreover, some states have laws governing the possession of
guns in vehicles by state residents, while the law governing
non-residents traveling through that same state while on business, on
a journey or in the process of transporting of goods and services not
apply. Finally, most states waive these restrictions if the person
possessing the firearm is an active or retired law enforcement officer
or member of the military, but again, some do not.

I might suggest you narrow your question to a specific person,
performing a specific function in, or between, certain jurisdictions.
Unless of course you are actually wanting to know ALL of the firearm
laws in ALL 50 states. If that is the case just let me know and
perhaps that can be found for you as well.

Otherwise, a clarification would be helpful so the researcher will
know exactly how to proceed.

I have a valid CCW Permit in the State of Arizona which is recognized
in several states. I plan to drive my Class B Motor Home through the
states of New mexico, Texas, Louisianna,
Mississippi,Alabama,Florida,Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina
and Virginia. Is my RV considered my home where I can keep a handgun
(to protect my home). Some states have "Peaceable Pass Through" laws
for motor vehicles however I would think that a mobile home is
considered differently than an automobile. Isn't it lawful to keep a
firearm in your own home anywhere in the USA ?

In most states, a firearm may be carried in a vehicle without a permit
to carry if the weapon and the ammunition has been separated (for
instance, ammunition/clip in the trunk and unloaded weapon in the
glove box.

I would suggest you ask a researcher to check laws in the states
through which you will be traveling so that your mind will be
completely at ease on the matter.
