Can anyone tell me what the file on my hard drive called KPCMS (with
two subdirectories) is?  I just had my hard drive wiped out because of
a lot of mysterious problems and this file was NOT on there when I
brought it home. . .

Hi sparksrmyn-ga,

KPCMS is the Kodak Precision Color Management System.  The folder
appears to be created from installing Kodak software, scanning/printer
software, through a Kodak plugin on certain Adobe software such as
Photoshop or any other software that utilizes Kodak's KPCMS system.

KPCMS is a set of color profiles used for PhotoCD images to help
retain colors when transferring photos between devices such as a
camera and your monitor.  From a few sources, it appears that if you
don't use PhotoCDs, you can safely delete the entire folder without
harm.
