Hello Busybee,
According to the chart International Tourist Arrival by Country
Destination by the World Tourism Organization there were 75,500,000

In the Discussion Paper TOURISM, ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH AS A
COMPONENT OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT By Rogert Aertgeerts, on page 4,
the characteristics of the tourism market in the main countries in
Europe generating income from tourism are shown.

Other Leisure 24%

Given the above resources, if 12% of 75.5 million arrivals in France
are business travelers, the total number of business travelers to
France would be 9,060,000.
The following table shows the world's top tourism earners
--------------------------------------------------------
Rank Country Receipts (US$ billion) 2001
--------------------------------------------------------
1 United States 72.3
2 Spain 32.9
3 France 29.6

Since I was not able to locate specific business travel expenditures,
we can obtain an estimate by using the figures above taken from the
World Tourism Organization. Although, a ballpark figure would be 3.5
billion dollars for business travel expenditures, (12% of 29.6 billion
dollars), this estimate would have to be lower as business travelers
dont usually spend as much as leisure travelers.
