Hello--are there publication types in which you are most interested?
It would seem that this is a topic best suited for textbooks, but I
thought I should check to make sure.

Hello horsthelle-ga,

There are many resources available to explore the sociology of
religion. I’ve also located several recently published books that are
specifically introductions to the sociology of religion. The Questia
site below is also excellent for locating additional publications.

The most recent publications are likely to be in the newsletters and
journals of the professional organizations that are dedicated to
advancing the study of the sociology of religion. Most of these
publications are only available to members. I’ve included links to
several organizations in case you are interested in browsing their
resources and possibly becoming a member.

I hope that you will find these resources useful.
