I have an ISDN line in my home (BRI interface) that I originally put
in for high speed Internet access. Since I no longer use it for that
purpose (I've got DSL now) I would like to try using the ISDN line for
voice calls. As such, I am looking for the simplest, least expensive
telephone set I can purchase that I can plug in to my ISDN line so
that I can make calls and use the various ISDN features. I've done a
quick search for such phones, but it seems as though the rapid
deployment of DSL has doomed the ISDN industry, and there really isn't
much call for these units any longer. I turned up a bunch of resellers
and semi-legit looking places, some with reconditioned phones, but I
want to go a little higher market than that [grin].
So, please check out ISDN instruments for me, and tell me what the two
best choices for me would be. I would like the manufacturer, make and
model number of each phone, a link to a web page with full particulars
on the unit, and full purchasing information including where to
purchase, how much, what kind of after-sale support is available, and
a contact name. Thanks! |
