There are severl software packages that let you call a phone from your computer. Below is a list, along with some pertinant information: Net2Phone. This service costs 2 cents per minute for united states destination calls, more for international. http://web.net2phone.com/products/commcenter/ Dialpad. I've tried this before, and it works pretty well. Similar costs as net2phone. Last I checked, they had calls under 5 minutes still free. http://www.dialpad.com/ IconnectHere (previously known as deltathree). Advertises lower rates than previous two links. http://www.iconnecthere.com/nonmembers/index.asp?TimeDiff= Go2Call. Another website with pc to phone software. http://www.go2call.com/ All of the previous sites charge money for pc to phone calling. From what I could find, there are no longer any sites that offer this service for free, although there may be some limited exceptions for calls of just a couple minutes. All of the sites linked to use their own proprietary software to complete pc to phone calls.
