I am looking into taking a Ski vacation to Killington in Vermont. The
date of arrival would be January 7st 2003 and the date of departure
would be January 9th 2003. So, this would be a 3 night stay, for 2
adults. The cheapest price that I was able to find for a 3-night stay
which included a 3 consecutive day lift ticket pass was $650.00 for
the 2 of us. To find this price, I went to the Killington.com
website.
The requirements for my stay are this:
     1. 3-night accommodations at a decent lodge/hotel for 2
adults(Jan7,8,9)
     2. Someone who is 20 years old must be able to check into the
hotel/lodge (some hotels/lodges have a minimum age of 21)
     3. Lift Tickets must be included in the package price, but I
have no problem purchasing them elsewhere if they are cheaper. I just
want the price of them included so I can see how much the total
package will cost.
     4. The hotel must be within a few miles of killington, and the
total package including accomodations and lift tickets must be
included in the package price, which must be under $600 for 2 adults.

P.s. I like the North Star Lodge...so take a look at it for an
example of what I am looking for.

bildy,

Excellent choice! I used to live in Vermont and Killington was my
favorite place to ski there!

I think I can provide you with a quick and easy way to get what you
need.

Go to http://www.killington.com

On the left-hand side, click "Ski & Stay Packages"

Scroll down and "2-7 Day Killington SKI & STAY Package"; click "Book
online"

Scroll down and click on "Click to Choose Lodges and Resorts"

Scroll down and fill in your Arrival Date, Length of Stay, Departure
Date, and Number of Guests, then click "Continue"

Scroll down to find "North Star Lodge"; there are room options for
either 1 King or 2 Double beds; enter 1 (number of rooms) to the right
of the option you select; then scroll farther down and enter Quantity
"2" in the line for "3 Day Adult Lift Ticket"; then scroll down and
click "Continue"

Enter Occupants "2" adults, "0" children, verify that your 3-day lift
pass start day is correct, and click "Continue"

I got the following information:

Arrival Date 6 Jan 2003
Departure Date 9 Jan 2003
Length of Stay 3
Number of Guests 2
Package Category Description Cost
Lodging (Lodges and Resorts) Included in Total
Lift Tickets Included in Total
TOTAL: 525.37 (USD)

I did call the North Star Lodge and confirm with the Reservations Desk
that 20-year-olds are allowed. You WILL need a credit card to
guarantee the room (so that they are protected against damages). North
Star's website is at http://www.northstarinn.com
and their contact information is:

North Star Lodge on the Killington Road

bildy,

I am sorry you did not feel my answer was what you were looking for.
If you had posted a Request for Clarification before Rating my Answer,
I would have been glad to help you get the information you needed.

You stated that you wanted a package that included accommodations for
3 nights, for 2 adults at a hotel which allowed 20-year-olds, and two
3-day lift tickets, for a total less that $600.00. You stated that you
liked the North Star Lodge; I found you a package at that hotel for
$525.37, **well** under that price and the $650.00 you quoted.

I do not see in your question where you are asking for "a list of
comparable hotels, at better rates, which are not found on the
Killington.com website." If your question had included that
information, or if you had added it in a Clarification, I would have
been glad to use that information to find you what you needed.

If you would like, I can request that the Editors remove my Answer,
after which another Researcher might be willing to assist you. Or I
can attempt to find some additional hotels for you. I would be willing
to do this if you can specify exactly what attributes you are looking
for in a hotel, and how many hotels fitting that description and price
range would constitute an acceptable Answer for you.

aceresearcher
Reason this answer was rejected by bildy-ga:
In my question, I specifically stated that I had already used the
Killington.com website to research my question, as well as stating
that the North Star Lodge was an EXAMPLE of what I was looking for.
The researcher did not take the time to understand the question I was
asking, which was for a list of comparable hotels, at better rates,
which are not found on the Killington.com website. For this, I am
requesting a refund!

Hi,

I have found some of the information you are looking for:
The North Star Lodge offer a price of $270 per room (double occupancy)
for 3 midweek nights Peak Season (which your dates are). This price
is subject to a 9% sales tax.
This price was found at their website: http://www.northstarinn.com
I hope this helps.
