Hello! I think you mean Value Dynamics Framework. It is a way of classifying assets, and is closely related to the idea of the balanced scorecard. It was developed by an Arthur Andersen partner and Value Dynamics itself is an Andersen trademark. The traditional accounting models suggest that wealth springs primarily from two sources: physical assets (e.g., plant, property, equipment and inventory) and capital (cash and investments). Value Dynamics redefines assets as all potential sources of future economic benefit that have the capacity to contribute to a company's overall value. That definition encompasses the realm of intangible assets as well as assets that are part of the extended value chain, like suppliers and partners. http://www.business-survival.com/articles/startrun/ValueCode.html More information: Arthur Andersen: http://www.arthurandersen.ch/website/web/pdf/ehealthwebstrategy_new%20brand2001.pdf Financial Executives International http://www.fei.org/magazine/Exclusives/Libert-4-18-2k1.cfm I hope that answers your question. Best wishes. |
