I work for a popular travel website. We would like to offer a credit
card (visa or mastercard) with our logo on the card. The card would be
offered to our existing and future customers. I know there are
companies that issue co-branded / affinity cards but I cannot figure who to
contact. Any ideas?

Dear Gacix,

The two primary players in this arena are

MBNA and Bank One.
They pretty much buy up all the other contracts anyway,
so you may as well start with them.

MBNA - call their general corporate number and ask for their
affinity sales department - 1-800-441-7048
http://www.mbna.com/credit_index.html
If you have trouble finding the right contact, call
their investor relations department 1-800-362-6255
They can usually help you.

Bank One - Call corporate headquarters at 312-732-4000
Ask them for their customised credit card marketing department.

The banks usually have a minimum membership required before
they will work with you. Generally, they require the right to
be able to send mail to your membership list. So, you will have
to include that information in your site's privacy statement.
Or, you will need to add a checkbox for members to opt in to
receive special offers from vendors.

Make sure that you understand that when you get these logo'd
credit cards, you are entitled to a percentage of the income
from those cards. So, be sure to ask about their income-sharing
policy.

Best wishes,

Your TaxMama-ga
