One of the great sports car manufacturers, Porsche has consistently
put some fo the top performing automobiles on the road. Thanks for
your question about he 1988 944S.

The 944 series was one of the most popular series built by Porsche.
Based off of the earlier 924, the difference in the 944 was engine.
The S version had a 16-valve, inline-4 engine. The 1988 944 S had a
top speed of and had a top speed of 138 MPH. Some additional specs on
the 944 S:

Engine Capacity: 2479 CC
Power: 188 HP
Torque: 170 lbft
Weight: 1350 KG
Compression Ratio: 10.9
Redline: 6800 RPM
0-60: 7.1

I don't know if you will be able to build one from scratch, but you
can find more detailed engine information at:

Thanks again for your question about one of the defining models in the
Porsche family. If you need any additional clarification, please let
me know.
