Hello chippy1, Another great question. I was able to find an Adobe document that outlines California's economy, job market and much more. According to the report done by the states Legislative Analyst's Office (LAO), here is the breakdown: 1) Services 2) Finance 3) Trade 4) Manufacturing 5) Government LAO PDF File http://www.lao.ca.gov/2000_reports/calfacts/2000_calfacts_economy.pdf In order to read the document, you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download the software for free from here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html You will also go on to note that California is the worlds 6th largest economy, leading even Italy, China, Brazil and Canada. This report is from 2000, as California has yet to release a 2001-2002 version of this document. When they do, you should be able to reach it from this website: http://www.lao.ca.gov I hope this concise answer is what you needed. Should you need further assistance, please ask for clarification before rating this answer as I would love to be of more assistance. To find the answer, I searched for: california largest industries are "earnings" Thanks again - SgtCory |

Your best bet is Agriculture, Technology, Banking, Retail, and transportation but of course that's off the top of my mind... the first two are correct... the others... probrably not. Generally speaking, the US puts out more services than goods... so think about that... |

It really depends on where the line is drawn, for example, does "agriculture" include aquaculture, fishing, hunting, forestry, etc.? A. |
