Dear Reiko,
You know, probably better than me, how unlikely it is to come across
one single article that matches exactly the specificity of several
combined issues as the subject of your research has. So, the challenge
for me was to help you narrow your research input information by
selecting about a dozen articles that would deal with those issues in
a way that be useful for your project. It also means, there would be
no use in just displaying a search result list, you needed a previous
selection instead. So I narrowed my searches as much as I could, and
then I did a fast exploration of every article of each list, in order
to select those being the most likely to add value to your research.
However, the link to the complete list of every search is also
provided, in case you wanted to check out the articles I discarded.
My search strategy began by visiting a specific search engine called
FindArticles ( http://www.findarticles.com/PI/index.jhtml ). Once
there, always choosing the category health, I tried different
combinations of key words or phrases such as: pain management, pain
control, cancer, oncology, elderly, geriatrics, surgical,
post-operative, etc. Those who brought back acceptable results are
detailed above. Please note that every search listed begins with a
number followed by the word article(s). The first one, for example,
says 6 article(s). This means that the complete search result was a
list of 6 articles, but here I only include those I selected as useful
for your research. You can always go and see the others at the search
results page.
Most of the articles listed below have profuse bibliographic
references, which you may also want to check out for additional
sources.

Sixth search:
The precedent article quoted The Management of Chronic Pain in Older
Persons, which I searched at Google Advanced Search using the exact
phrase. The title refers to the American Geriatric Society (AGS) Panel
on Chronic Pain in Older Persons, introduced as the Clinical Practice
Guidelines on the subject. I found its available online as a PDF file
at http://www.americangeriatrics.org/products/chronic_pain.pdf
You may also want to visit the American Geriatric Society website (
http://www.americangeriatrics.org/ ), as well as the American Academy
of Pain Medicine ( http://www.painmed.org/ )
I hope this information helps you with your research. Please ask for
any clarification you may consider necessary.
Thank you for this very interesting search.
