Hello; You asked for the production numbers for the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo Spyder painted sundance plum pearl, convertible, with black interior and equipped with five speed transmission. According to Krystal Peasley, Operations Communications Specialist for Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America, Inc., "only six vehicles were produced for 1999 model year Turbo Spyder Convertible with plum pearl exterior and black leather interior" produced in the Mitsubishi plant in Normal, Illinois. Rare!! You may find this website helpful: http://www.consumerguide.com After opening link scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Contact Us" which will take you to a question page. I corresponded with Mark Bilek, Managing Editor, Automotive, who was a great help to me in getting this information. | |

Well, at least two... http://www.wikked.com/spyder/rare2-ssb.jpg There's a lot more pictures at http://www.wikked.com/spyder/ The fact that the picture's filename contains the word "rare", that an Eclipse message board with over 500,000 posts had only THREE threads that even MENTIONED "sundance plum", that none were made for dealer lots, but had to be specially ordered, and the fact that it's PURPLE leads me to believe that there are very, very, VERY few of these cars in existence. Much less in the specific configuration you want. Kind of like Oxford Green BMW M3s... Nice color, though. (The plum, not the oxford green.) |
