The name, please, of the female saxophonist who played with Rod Stewart
at Glastonbury 2002. (Sunday 30 June)

According to her fan club, this was not Candy Dulfer as I had
expected. They write:

"Thanks for your mail. No, she did not perform with Rod Stewart. On
June 30th
she was about to embark on her European tour."

Rod's touring band in late 2001 included the German keyboard player
and saxophonist Katja Rieckermann.

That band's set was a longer version of the one he played at
Glastonbury 2002. While it seems likely that Rieckermann will also
have played at Glastonbury, it is of course possible that he switched
female saxophonist. (He is especially keen on the idea of a blonde sax
player as an interview with one of his sidemen, Baron Raymonde,
reveals:

 "Rod showed up and listened to the recording. He came 
 over to me and said `you sound great', but I didn't 
 think I was going to get asked to do it, because he was
 looking for a blonde female sax player at the time."

Katja Rieckermann seems a good bet, but I can't actually confirm it. 
A fan site http://www.dreamerz1998.com/Rodthebod.html, lists her as
part of the band on the 2002 tour, although interestingly the tour
dates shown don't include Glastonbury.
