I am using microsoft query from microsoft excel to join two worksheets
or tables together. However, when I tried to join two seperate fields
from the two worksheets, there is the following error: "
[Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver]Type mismatch in expression". I
formatted the two columns with the same format, trying to format them
as text, number, etc..., but the error persists. The two columns,
aside from the column heading, have numerical values only(not mixed
type).

Hi,
"when I tried to join two seperate fields from the two worksheets,"
It seems the field heading are different
When you try to join 2 fields make sure the 2 fields name(heading) is
same.

Still if problem persists, please give the sample worksheet to
understand the problem correctly.
