I want to know the large & mid-size cities with the lowest hotel
rates. There probably is a place on the web that will tell you average
hotel prices per city.

Hi! I have found a website which lists average hotel rates. However,
these are only for major cities. Would this be considered as a
legitimate answer? Just let me know. :)

Are you inquiring about hotel rates in a particular country or worldwide?

Hi! Thanks for the question.

The Business Travel News provide rates to most popular cities in the
US. It was presented for free at the Extended Stay website to compare
the price of their own hotels and other living facilities. Although
the presentation came from the vendor, the data cited comes from an
independent source.

In this page (http://www.extendedstay.com/compare_main_top.html) the
legend says that the third column is the ones we're after, "Average
Hotel Rate**". If you click on a letter (Since the ciities are
alphabetically arranged), you can reference the rates on the new
window opened. The rates show averaged weekly and nightly rates.
