I would like to hire a blues band to play at my wedding in San
Francisco on 6/28/03.  I would prefer a band composed of people who
aren't on a wedding "circuit" but rather people who really enjoy
playing. The reception will start at 6:30 or 7:00.  Would you please

We saw this band in a little club on Ventura Blvd in Los Angeles and
it was one of the best shows I have ever seen.  I am only adding this
comment because you want a band who is great and that really enjoys
doing what they do, and let me tell you, THEY LOVE PLAYING THE BLUES!

FYI from a blues musician:

The Flyers, formed over 20 years ago, are among the top
internationally-touring blues groups.  They have consisted of some of
the most top-notch players on the West Coast (besides Rod, Honey &
Bill (and now Henry):  Junior Watson, Ed Mann, Jimi Bott, Alex
Schultz, Rick Holmstrum, Steve Mugalion, and their first drummer -
whose name unfortunately escapes me).  The trick will be to get them
(or any other touring group) when they are in your area.

Lastly:  also from the Bay Area is Mark Hummel's band (the Blues
Survivors); also touring, also hot, also thoroughly professional.
