No other characters for sale right now with any bids.
You might want to keep in mind that Verant(Sony) actively looks over
Ebay and other auction sites and reports auctions as unauthorized,
etc. Successfully selling anything on Everquest is a risky
proposition; the seller can take the money and run with it, or the
buyer can get the account, then refuse payment, depending on which
person "goes first". If you intend to try doing this to make a living,
you'll encounter difficulties, if not with Verant and possible legal
action (this has been a point of contention with almost every online
game where you can 'trade items' - the companies consider those items
to be their property, and not yours to sell for cash) then with people
attempting to scam you out of your money or effort.
While I do personally know someone who made about $75,000 USD selling
EQ items (generated by bug abuse.. he didn't work to obtain said
items,) the money stopped coming in shortly after the bug was fixed.
So yes, you can make a little money by selling Everquest accounts (you
have to sell the entire account, not just one character, since Verant
does not allow transferring characters under normal circumstances.)
The type of character someone wants will vary from month to month, as
balance is adjusted to compensate for the latest "unstoppable
character" type.
I imagine as long as people continue to try selling imaginary
property, people will continue to try buying said imaginary property,
but the probability of being 'taken' in this sort of deal is quite
high. |
