In 8 and 9 it was sinmple. They came with Epson "throwaways" that
lasted a year or so. OS X has cost me an HP 750 (settings won't hold,
and this new little Lexmark that only prints aqua peacocks and 11
hours is my limit to mesing with it. PLEASE, kind people, oh oracles
and bastions, steer me to an Epson at $150 or less that I can plug in
and do my work befor I am held in contempt (by others than myself,
too) because the computer and printer have "issues." There was a nifty
two sided d/c Epson a while back but I don;'t ned it. I just want to
press print and have printing occur. I'll work with page setups,
previews, sure. But I want black to be black, white to be white and a
nicely calibrated set of colors to play with. The Epson site is
conventiently inaccessable this evening, or maybe forever; there's a
kind of hush all over the world.
Does anybody want a brand new Z25?

OS X supports the listed (below) Epson printers out of the box. A
number of them can be had for less than $100. For example, check this

I dunno about Epson, but I just bought an HP Deskjet 940c and I run it
under OS X 10.2. It actually came with a native OS X installation
program for the drivers. I was amazed. It's a nice machine for under
150$
