I recently attended a book signing that Julie Andrews (aka Julie
Andrews Edwards) and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton, were doing in
Long Island (they have co-authored a series of children’s books). 
However, the turnout was extremely high and they left before I was
able to get my book signed.  I am now trying to find out about future
book signings, as I have been told that they do signings fairly
frequently.

I checked with the bookstore and they said that they did not have any
future dates scheduled .  The publisher is Hyperion Books for
Children; I tried their website
(http://disney.go.com/disneybooks/hyperionbooks/homepage.html) to no
avail.  I have tried a couple of sites that list book signings,
including http://stilljohn.com/ and
http://geocities.com./hollywood/hills/8944/.

I am interested in events taking place in Atlanta, NYC (and vicinity),
or Washington DC.  No specific time frame, just whenever they have a
signing scheduled.

For what it’s worth, the book they were signing when I went was _Dumpy
and the Big Storm_, but I’m not particular about what they sign.

Thanks for trying. I *would* be interested in knowing the best way to
find future signings.  Part of the frustration of my search has been
that since I don't know if she has any signings scheduled, I don't
know if I am not looking in the right places, or if there is just
nothing out there to find!  So if the folks at Hyperion (or anyone
else) could suggest a plan of attack, that would be helpful.

I have called the publisher not once, not twice, but three times...and
each time was forced to leave a voice mail message with a different
person. I still have not heard back from anyone, I'm sorry to say. I
would assume this means the mother/daughter duo or Julie Andrews alone
have no scheduled book signings coming up. However, I also asked them
to let me know how I could find out about future,
currently-unscheduled signings....

Perhaps I will hear from someone on Monday. I'm sorry I can't be more
helpful.

I never heard from back from anyone at Hyperion. Not a single email or
phone call. And I called numerous people in marketing.

So I can only assume that she doesn't have any book signings
scheduled. I would suggest, then, that you keep an eye out for her
next book. When it comes out, I'm sure she'll be doing book signing
again, and it's likely she'll do at least one in the New York area.
Again, I wish I had a better answer...but that's all there is to give,
this time! :)
