What are the symptoms of lung cancer? I haven't smoked in 16 years
but I did before that for 15 years and 5 of those years I smoked two
packs a day+. I am going to a doctor tomorrow morning because I don't
feel well. I've had a chest cold for several weeks and this past week
I've been coughing up grey phlegm and my chest hurts and I feel
terrible today like I could just keel over. My chest has a strange
feeling and it isn't from asthma or anything like that although it
could be from an infection that I could use an antibiotic for.
However, since I was such a heavy smoker (and I've known others who
smoked like I did and are dead now) I am a worrier about lung cancer.
Thanks for your time!

Please note:
I am not a doctor, and am not in any medical field. This information
came directly from the internet. I tried to
find several sources in order to verify the information, to some
extent. If you do experience these symptoms,
you should definitely talk to your doctor about it. He/She should be
able to properly diagnose whether you have lung
cancer or not. The earlier you detect it, the better your chances are!
:)

Good luck!!

Hey Allieboo - It is much more likely that your symptoms are arising
from something completely benign. Do not worry. You are doing the
right thing. Gotta get it checked out and treated, regardless of what
it is. Keep the breathing machine going.
