Hello.

In a disclosure report filed with the Office of Government Ethics in
June 2002, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld declared that he
owned assets worth a total of between $53 million and $175 million.

While some of Sec. Rumsfeld's worth may have been in defense-related
industry stocks at one time, he has apparently "sold nearly all of his
individual stock holdings and limited partnership shares and put
between $25 million and $50 million into a blind trust." Rumsfeld
reportedly did this in order to "avoid conflicts of interest" between
his personal investments and decisions on weapons spending.

Note that this story confirms that Rumsfeld did once own stock in
several defense contractors (Raytheon and Northrop, specifically), but
has sold the stock.

search strategy: rumsfeld, millions, assets, stocks

I hope this helps.
