I have a Smith @ Wesson handgun (nickel plated) from 1885. Was hoping
U can tell me smething about it , and possibly it's value to. Serial #
on buttom of handle is 51105 if it would help You any.  I have 1
shell,  Was presented to me about 2 yrs. ago. Thank You for the
quickrespond also . :-) Mr. Acevedo From Wisconsin.

Probably the best way of doing it, Mr. A, is by contacting Smith &
Wesson itself.  See...

For a fee of $30, the company will provide the history of your weapon
(given that it's authentic) similar to this...

I'm posting this as a comment, rather than an answer, since it doesn't
specifically answer your question to "tell you something about it"
