Ok, this has been bugging me for a long time, and Google Answers has worked for me before, so here goes. I want to know everything possible about an 80's sci-fi television show. Unfortunately, I don't remember its title, and I was too young at the time, so the memories that I do have are quite vague. Here are the things that I remember: - It's set in the future on a possibly non-earth or altered-earth world. Helpful, right? - The story is about a family. Probably including a father, mother, daughter, and I think the youngest was the son. - The family is running, or they are in trouble, or they are in the wrong time period (or all of the above). - I distinctly remember the laser guns used by the people that were chasing the family. They looked like pistols, except they were held upside down. There was a plunger/button on the top of the handle, and the weapon was fired by pushing the plunger with the opposite hand. - The image of a dollar bill was somehow significant, particularly the pyramid with an eye. - Sewers. I remember city streets at night, manholes, and a sewer system were the scene for one chase. I dont know if this was a miniseries, TV movie, or just one episode in a TV series. It could've even been a movie that just happened to be on TV, but I remember it being pretty bad, so I doubt that is the case. I would place this show sometime in the early to mid-80s, and it was definitely before the 90s. Good luck, and I look forward to finding out more. |

Hello. Your show was probably "Otherworld" which aired on CBS in the mid-1980s. See this newsgroup message archived by Google Groups: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=%22tv+series%22+pyramid+%22dollar+bill%22&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=39hjnd%2418a%40umd5.umd.edu&rnum=2&filter=0 More information about Otherworld: Innermind.com Otherworld guide: http://www.innermind.com/myguides/guides/otherw.htm An AOL fan page about Otherworld: http://members.aol.com/VTWriter/Otherworld.html search strategy: "tv series", pyramid, "dollar bill" I hope this helps. | |

I remember this show...somehow the family was able to transport through time(?) dimensions(?) through pyramids. That relates to the pyramid eye on the currency...I remember liking this show(?) a lot myself...will be interested to see your answer... :) Lisa |

It was called "otherworld". http://epguides.com/Otherworld/ The only thing I remember was the pyramid with the eye being a reference to the government on that other world, and an old guy in the parallel dimension I believe had a dollar bill, of course with the illuminati symbol on the back. |
