For over a week now we've scoured the net using Google looking for
companies that would be interested in purchasing the types of
equipment listed below with not much luck. We've tried every linux
clustering / industrial automation link we could find, but response
has been quite tepid to say the least. Google has been good for
locating who actually sells and/or distributes what we're trying to
liquidate, but not very forthcoming when it comes to the type of
companies that can actually utilize this equipment and would be
willing to buy it all at liquidation prices.

So, the question: How can Google researchers help us find
->end-users<- or
resellers actually interested in purchasing surplus process automation
equipment, industrial electronics, custom made server racks, etc. This
is quite specific equipment and certainly falls outside the realm of
most typical surplus computer hardware resellers that can be found all
over Google.

Here are some examples of the types of material I'm talking about:

Qty: 20,000 of these: http://www.globemotors.com/d47t10.pdf
model:d47-b10b-04w2-000 These are new.

Qty: 660 of these: http://www.arbor-usa.com/product_detail.cfm?PRODUCTID=373
-- Each one has a 233Mhz MMX CPU, 32MB SD-RAM and 32MB Flash Diskon
2000 chip installed. New.

Qty: 240 of the same card as above except with a 200MMX and 24MB Flash
Diskon chip installed. New

Qty: 170 of these: http://www.sangoma.com/508.htm -- New

Qty: 170 custom built Hoffman/Pentair NEMA 4 rated 19"
enclosed/insulated server racks with battery backup/thermal
conditioning for interior or exterior applications. Picture here:
http://www2.geosurplus.com/images/SitePhoto_0123.JPG --Approximate
dimensions of 6.5'H X 6'W X 3'D - These are used.

Qty: 6192 of these: http://www.rec-usa.com/online/DC_prod_draw.asp?partnumber=10A3BS-8S&package=PD
-- All new.

Again, we're very frustrated as all Google can tell us are the
companies that are currently distributing similar products... These
companies are rarely interested in surplus materials as it competes
with their current product. They'd rather see it all destroyed and
that's just WRONG!

Also, we are NOT interested in using reseller services or auction
houses such as dovebid, assettrade, ebay etc.

Again, ideally we're looking for the end-user here... How can we
leverage Google to help us find end-users for these types of products?

Hello
Google results will be predominately websites wanting to sell
something, rather than websites wanting to buy something, which
explains why you cannot locate easily the users who want to buy the
equipment. The other end of the spectrum is if you advertise on Google
so anyone physically looking for e.g. "surplus process automation
equipment" will find you. i.e. make it easier for buyers to locate you
rather than you locating the buyers.

The problem is time pressure, as we are surplus liquidators for our
clients, there is very little time (2 - 4 weeks) that we are alotted
before the equipment is sent to the shredder. While this sounds crazy,
its done for a reason, liquidating the product generates some revenue
for the client, giving this much away 'for next to nothing' can create
unfair advantages to our clients competitors. Thus it's scrapped out.
We're at the stage now with this equipment where we'll be willing to
pay 5% of the invoice value to anyone that can find a buyer. Time is
running out.
