You could mask your identity by using a proxy server like
www.the-cloak.com or www.safeproxy.org,your IP address and country of
origin will not be visible.

yeah a proxy server is certainly the best way to go for that.

I assume you want to make phone calls but can't do so because you're
outside the US.There is lots of PC-PC software that will allow you to
do that,just try searching for free PC to PC phone calls at Google.For
PC to phone you may have to pay a service fee,you may want to try
www.gtony.com.
