We need inexpensive draw sting bags for nuts and bolts in quantities
of 50,000 and 100,000 + . The bags can be cloth, tight net or poly. We
would like to put logos on them. Where can we buy them at .06 each or less?

Hello probeg:

I have sent pricing and product enquiries off to a couple of companies
overseas that I think might fit the bill.

I'll let you know when/if I hear from them.

The bags we have now are 5" X 8" with a draw sting. They are printed.

Hi probeg:

Two of the manufacturers I contacted have gotten back to me and they
seem to have prices in the right range (though you may have to
purchase 100,000 to get them at 6 cents a bag). I'll pass along your
new information on size and printing and try to get a more specific
quote.

But first, where are you located (for shipping) and what does your
logo look like (size, color(s), complexity, etc.)

Thanks.

Our co. is located in Eastern North Carolina, USA for shipping
purposes. The logos will change from client to client but will only be
one color in each case.

Hi probeg:

Thanks for the additional information.

I'm sorry, I think I may have misunderstood something. Are *you* going
to be putting the logos on, or is that something the manufacturer has
to do? Is printing part of the $.06 cost target or not?

If you want the manufacturer to print the bags, will the each logo be
printed on 50,000 - 100,000 bags, or will the printings be a much
smaller quantity?

Thanks.

The manufacturer will print on quantities of 50K-100K runs of each logo/wording.

Thanks probeg!

I've got what I need - I'll get back to you as soon as I have a couple
of quotes. (More may follow and I'll add them as clarifications to my
answer.)

This may take a couple more days, as we are running into the weekend
now.

Hello probeg:

Well, I've heard back from several manufacturers and the best I've
been able to do so far is find someone who has quoted:

***********************************
We will do these bags at USD 0.07/pc with top drawstring closure.

You can add extra 0.01 cents towards shipping cost fo 'NY'. So, we can
offer
you C&F,NY cost USD 0.08/pc for 100,000 pcs.

"Above cost are based on light weight cotton sheeting (canvas) which
is
mostly used."
***********************************

None of the other quotes are coming close to the $.06 target. I still
have a few more feelers out, but I don't think I'll get any better
quotes.

Would you consider the name and contact information of this supplier
be a sufficient answer to this question?

Thanks.

Webseacher - it sounds like you've got this question pretty well in
hand, but if you haven't come across uline (I don't know how they rate
from the web side of things - I've got a print catalog here), you
should check them out. They've got what the customer wants, though
you may be able to find it for less elsewhere.

Hi haversian:

Thanks for the ulian lead. I contacted them and they don't custom
print their drawstring bags, and their prices are way out of the
customer's price range.... :-(

I'm concentrating on overseas suppliers because of the price point.

You're looking at the cloth ones? Yeah, they're pretty darn pricey.
I'm not sure about printing either, but they've got poly drawstring
bags that are 6 cents apiece in quantities as low as 2000, so if they
*do* do printing (which I just assumed they would, as they customize
many of their other offerings), the cost of it should fall in the
price break you'd get for ordering 50000-100000 (at 10000 they offer
about 10% off, so I'd guestimate about 15% off at 50000 bags).

I was told they don't custom print *any* of their bags.

Well that's a dead-end then. Are you finding things and I should let
you answer the question, or should I work on it too?

Hi haversian:

Thanks for asking. I am finding things, but it is taking some time. If
you want to work on it too - please do. The goal here is to get the
customer the best answer. :-)
