What was the percent of tax on the tea that was thrown overboard in
the Boston Tea Party?

It would appear that the percentage in tax, payable to the English
parliament by the East India Tea Company, would have been zero.. but
possibly I miss the point of your question.

Hello Luke,

The tax was not represented as a percentage, rather a weight based
scale. The rate was three pennies per pound of imported tea. Without
knowing how much each of the 342 containers weighed, it's hard to
determine the total cost of the loss. One site I found puts the total
weight at 90,000 pounds. This would equal a total loss of about
$2700.00 in tax money. ( In today's economy ) Here is the site:
