currently costing North American business Millions in lost revenue due
to employees not being able to cope. Short Term disability is at an
all time high in some industries. The research should include current

Hello michaelh54-ga,

Thank you for your question. I spent some time working on your answer,
and learned quite a bit on the topic of workplace resiliency. Below
are the results of my research, grouped into two categories,
"Articles" and "Sites/Programs". I believe this is a good selection of
the best / most representative information I could find :

alleviating stress after the fact. But another approach says that
differences in employees, such as how they cope with stress, are more
important in predicting stress than are specific job conditions. "

Did you come across anything on resiliency/stress and the eastern bloc nations?
Thanks,

Michael

Hi again michaelh54-ga,

Thank you for the five stars! By the way, I live in Toronto too. As
for Eastern Bloc resiliency/stress articles, I did not come across any
noteworthy content in my initial search. Just now I did a quick
search, but did not find much material. Most of the content was on the
topic of unemployment, such as this one :

Unemployment, Well-Being and Wage Curves in Eastern Europe
http://216.239.51.100/search?q=cache:NxbVtfwZFrwC:www.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/Economics/oswald/europeeast.pdf+eastern+europe+OR+bloc+employee+OR+workplace+stress+cost+OR+costs+OR+costing&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

However, if you are interested in seriously pursuing this topic,
please feel free to post a new question on this one and I will be glad
to roll up my sleeves to do some in-depth research for you.

Till then, take care and enjoy the "lake effect" snow...

Regards,
