How can you best edit the endnotes in a lengthy MS Word document? Can the endote reference be summarized with the acompanying statement in order to make editing easier? If you can't answer this, can you refer me to a help call center that might know the answer? | |

There is a commercially-available program called Endnote that is entirely compatible with MS Word; once installed, it will even place a program link in the MS Word toolbar. I used the software for a dissertation to organize ~240 references--it allows you to store the references in "libraries" according to subject, author, date, keywords, etc. Also, if you cut and paste text in your document, Endnote will automatically update the footnotes so you don't have to renumber them. It may be worth the cost of the software if this is something you do often; sorry I don't have any advice for a "free" solution. |
