Where are major centers of biomedical research in the US, and what are
some general growth and opperational trends in this industry?

The major regions for biomedical research are Boston, Chicago, NYCity,
and California.

Areas of importance are: molecular biology,pharmacology,antibiotic
research,HIV/Aids,veterinary research, diabetes, and all diseases
associated with the aging process. Other areas are organ transplant,
ocular disease, and arthritis ( young and old patients).

For a general survey of research funded by the US government, contact
the NSF and NIH.  This info should demonstrate to you the major areas
of biomedical research in the US.
