The NFL has alot of stats and records by league and team. I am looking
for those off the wall facts that networks, league, teams, etc. have
developed to give you a fun way to see the enormity of and the
powerful influence of the NFL on our culture. Example might be 14,500
tons of potato chips are eaten on Super Bowl Sunday. What are other
fun facts about the impact of the NFL on our economy?

Hi

A figure of the most air miles clocked:

http://www.christianitytoday.com/ss/hotcorner/football-020822.html

Some good ones at the bottom of this page:

http://www.nata.org/publications/press_releases/superbowl.htm

I found one amongst a heap of other quotes here:

http://www.uuu.org/fun%20facts.html

Specifically - " It takes 3,000 cows to supply the NFL with enough
leather for a year's supply of footballs."

There are also a couple of gems in the 'sports' section of this page
(near the bottom):

Hope to have helped
