It appears that Flexmore Hudson's poem "Drought" contains the phrase
"the petulant question of a summer-wearied child". It took some
deduction to find this, but I'm confident that this is the answer
you're looking for.
Here's how I found this information:
A search on Google for "summer wearied child" produced no results.
I next tried Ixquick ( http://www.ixquick.com/ ), a metasearch engine.
It came up with one result, from AllTheWeb:
"Drought
... lips, I am recalled to this drought-stricken plain by the petulant
question of a summer-wearied child
http://www.ains.net.au/sbainhud/poem19.htm"
http://ixquick.com/do/metasearch.pl?cat=web&cat=web&cmd=process_search&language=english&rl=NONE&query=%22summer+wearied+child%22&engine0=alltheweb&engine1=teoma&engine2=findarticles&engine3=findwhat&engine4=gigablast&engine5=go&engine6=hotbot&engine7=kanoodle&engine8=looksmart&engine9=msn&engine10=ixdmoz&engine11=goto&engine12=search_rel
Likewise, a search on AllTheWeb ( http://www.alltheweb.com/ ) produces
the same single result:
http://www.alltheweb.com/search?cat=web&cs=utf-8&l=any&q=%22summer+wearied+child%22
The web page indicated by Ixquick and AllTheWeb is not working at
present. Indeed, the entire set of web pages for
http://www.ains.net.au/sbainhud/ seems to be defunct.
However, many of the pages (thought not the page in question) can be
retrieve through the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (
http://www.archive.org ):
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.ains.net.au/sbainhud/*
Clicking the various pages indicates that the site was "Swati Baindur
and Rory Hudson's Home Page", and that Rory's Hudson's father was the
poet Flexmore Hudson:

Unfortunately, the links at the bottom of this page, including a link
to Flexmore Hudson's poems, no longer work. But presumably "Drought"
was among those poems.
I searched on Google for: flexmore hudson drought, and found that this
poem was contained in "Dangers and disasters / compiled by Maurice
Saxby, Glenys Smith ; illustrated by Ann James. Published North Ryde,
N.S.W. : Methuen, 1986."
"Dangers and Disasters"

In addition to the State Library of Western Australia, this book is
available at the National Library of Australia; you can find it by
searching in the catalogue (
http://webpac.nla.gov.au/webclientmain.html ) for the title "dangers
and disasters". It is presumably also available in other libraries in
Australia.
I hope that this information is helpful!
