It appears that the email address you are sending to is invalid, since CAPTAIN DELORIS@AOL.COM includes a space between the words "captain" and "deloris". You may want to retry sending the message with the address without the space, which would appear as: CAPTAINDELORIS@AOL.COM The server does not accept an email address with a space in it, which is why it says: "@" OR "." EXPECTED AFTER "CAPTAIN" I hope you find this information useful and easy to understand. If you have questions about this answer, please do not hesitate to request a clarification. |

Many AOL screen names contain spaces in them. It works fine when sending from one AOL account to another but does not work for email external to the AOL system. Contact the person you are trying to email if possible and ask them to verify the address. |

Dear Scooper38, Have you read Captain Deloris's e-mail address from a web page or in a mail reader where cited e-mail addresses are turned into hot links? In this case, the e-mail address would probably have appeared underlined and what appeared to be a space character may in fact have been an underscore: such underscores simply disappear into the underlining. In other words, the address _may_ be "CAPTAIN_DELORIS@AOL.COM". Carnegie |

scooper38 states the same error box with the same two messages KEEPS appearing. I believe the situation scooper38 is describing is that the error box keeps appearing even after another message is sent which is valid. The error box containing errors from a long time ago appears anytime even new valid messages are sent. I have had this occur on OE for over 1 year now. I never could solve the problem. |
