I am looking for the last two lines of a Capoeira song, usually called
"zoom zoom zoom". The first lines are:
Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! Capoeira mata um!
Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! Capoeira mata um!

Onde tem Marimbondo?
É Zoom! Zoom!
Onde tem Marimbondo?
É Zoom! Zoom!

Zoom is sometimes spelled "zum". The song is (was?) also on a
commercial for Mazda cars.
Nota that there is at least one other Capoeira song with the line
"zoom zoom zoom Capoeira mata um" in it, and several with just the
line "zoom zoom zoom" in it. The song I'm looking for definately
starts the way I showed (though the lines may be repeated more or less
times).
Ther last line should start with something like "ooh aahh ooh ahh
ehhh".
Thank you!

This was a question of the week for the August 13th edition of TV
Guide. The answer follows below:

"...Zoom-Zoom-Zoom is performed by Serapis Bey and is available on the
movie soundtrack for a 1993 film called Only the Strong."

The full question can be found linked to below. BTW, if you're into
Capoeira, the movie referenced, "Only the Strong" is all about
Capoeira. Hope I could help!

Hi,
thanks for your speedy answer. However, this doesn't actually answer
my question. I asked for the last two lines in the lyrics, not where
it was from. I knew the first part.
Thanks!

If you listen to the song, there are three distinct call and answer
phrases. The first two that I listed above I have found in a number of
places on the net. There is a last phrase, where the call is "oh ah oh
ah eh" or something, and the response is unintelligible (to my ears,
at least).

Oops... sometimes my eyes don't work correctly. Here are the lyrics
for your song. The last two lines are:

"
(lead) Owa owaee
(chrous chimes in) Quero ver bater quero ver cair
"

They slur the "quero" to make them fit the rhythm, but he rest of
words sound correct. The webpage which has the lyrics is in Microsoft
Word format, but here's a google cache of it:

Sorry about the mixup originally... and thank you for your patience.

Wonderful. I had been looking for that line for quite a while now.

Umm, nope. That line only appears in two songs (at least on that
site), "Vai você" and "Ai Ai Aide". Thanks for the effort, though!
