Where is a reliable source of up-to-date statistics concerning any and
every aspect of the world today regarding both the United States and
the rest of the world(as a whole or as individual nations.) The
statistics I'm looking for are relating to population, health, death,
drinking habits, drug habits, disease, everything imaginable. If
there are one or two sites that have many of those statistics relaibly
updated i'd be interested in knowing them. Thanks.

Hi dropbox153,

I have found that the most accurate and complete statistics for every
country in the world can be found in the CIA's World Factbook:

CIA - The World Factbook 2002
http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/index.html

As stated on the above site, "The Factbook has been an annual
publication...", and thus it is one of the most complete and up to
date references available on the internet. The factbook includes
statistics on the geography, people, government, economy,
transportation systems, communications, military, and transnational
issues on practically every country in the world.

To use the resource, simply choose a country from the drop-down list
at the top of the page.

I hope this information is of assistance to you. If you need any
additional clarification or information please let me know.

I would also like to recommend the Census Bureau’s American Factfinder
for statistics with regard to individual states, towns, and cities.
It is available at http://factfinder.census.gov/servlet/BasicFactsServlet.
