I need a list of dentists in New York. I need them divided by boro. I
would like them seperated by specialty if possible. I would like them
downloadable to my computer in a format that WORD can access so that
they can be inserted into a word document.

There are over 1500 dentists in the 212 area code and over 2000 in the
718 area code according the the NY State Dental Association.  If you
could get a bit more specific, such as by speciality or a particular
burrough, you will have a better chance of having your question
answered quickly.

I am primarily looking for a complete list of dentists in Brooklyn. If
they are divided by specialty that is helpful but not critical.
It would be very very helpful if this list was downloadable into a
data base that Microsoft Word could access to insert into a document.
My priorities are:
1. A complete list of dentists in Brooklyn
2. List is downloadable to a data base
3. List includes other NYC boro's (but subcatagorized by boro)
4. List is subcatagorized by specialty

I followed up your first comment and checked out the dental society
website. They only list members so I don't know how many dentists are
missing from that list.

Have you tried the state board of dentistry?

You can visit the NY State Dental Association
(http://www.nysdental.org/find_a_dentist/index.cfm)and do a search of
dentists via area code and specialty.  You would then be able to cut
and paste the information into Excel and be able to sort by
speciality. You would also be able to save the file as a CSV file for
import.  I am posting this as a comment as I have not been able to
find a downloadable format of all denstists.  If this will suffice,
let me know. I will continue to look.

The other option would be to contact the New York State Office of the
Professions, the State agency that handle licensing dentists.  Here is
the contact information for the Dentistry division:

They may be able to provide you with the list you seek.
