Windows XP error message

Hello, Im not sure what I did to cause this error message but each time I restart my PC I get this error message "WinStart.exe - Entry Point Not Found; the procedure entry point IoUnregisterDeviceInterface could not be located in the dynamic link library NTDLL.dll" What can i do to fix this? Windows starts with no problem after I close the error message window. My OS is XP home edition, P4, sony vaio PCV RX370DS. Thanks!!! |

The most likely reason for this is that a program was partially installed/uninstalled is trying to run on startup. To fix this: 1. Goto the start menu in Windows XP and goto Run... 2. Type in 'msconfig' without the quotes 3. Navigate to the Startup Tab 4. Look for WinStart.exe in the list of startup programs (the program may not be named winstart, it is important to look in both the program name column and the path column) 5. Uncheck it 6. Click OK and restart and the error message should go away |
