Hello--

Could you please explain your question a little more. By outdoor
advertising, do you mean billboards, etc.?

Thanks,

Thank you for your time, yes that is exactly what I mean. Also like
on taxis, taxi wraps, blimps, at baseball games- those big signs,
billboard trucks, etc.

<The main disadvantage of radio advertising is lack of visual
information. Since a radio advertisement is an audio message, it can’t
communicate what a product or service looks like. It also fails to
communicate a brand image or logo.

In addition radio advertising has potential wastage and a short life.

Potential wastage – a radio advertisement will reach a lot of people
but only a fraction are likely to be in your target group. Your
message will also be heard by lots of people that are not interested
in your product or service.

Short life – Your message is short lived as people are often doing
other things whilst listening to the radio like driving, working,
doing housework or eating meals. The focus of their concentration is
often on the task in hand rather than listening to the radio. A radio
commercial cannot be reviewed by the listener. Once it has been heard,
it is gone.

Display advertising can compensate for these deficiencies. Display
advertising is a visual medium that takes the form of hand-bills,
posters, bill-boards, electronic displays etc. It allows the
communication of what a product looks like, brand image and logo. This
form of advertising can also be reviewed. The viewer can re-read the
message. Hand-bills in particular can have a long life as people can
take them home, read them at their leisure and may keep them for a
while before eventually discarding them. Display advertising is also
relatively cheap compared to other advertising media.>
