Hi Eltar~

There is no absolute answer to this question; the Bible does not say
who Cain's wife was. But scholars have speculated on this subject for
generations.

In the classic book "Today's Handbook for Solving Bible Difficulties"
(by David E. O'Brien, Bethany House Publishers, 1990), one of the
most common and credible answers is given:

"Cain married his sister. The thought horrifies us, but there are some
good reasons for adopting it. If God intended the human race to begin
with two individuals, He also, of necessity, intended that their
children intermarry. The Bible tells us that Adam and Eve had other
sons and daughters [Genesis 5:4]. They were children of the
wellsprings of all humanity's genetic material, so there was no good
genetic reason for them not to marry. Their children would suffer none
of the negative effects of intermarriage, and God's laws prohibiting
such things were millennia in the future." (p.204)

Other possibilities that have commonly been thrown forth range from
the idea that Cain's wife was an alien, and angel or a demon, or that
she was "pre-Adamic." The latter term comes from a theory that says
God created, in addition to Adam and Eve, other human-like creatures
that looked like us but had no souls. There is no historic evidence to
support any of these theories.

"Today's Handbook for Solving Bible Difficulties" is available at most
bookstores, but if you wish to see it's Amazon listing, go here:

Only an average score can be rendered because the question was not
answered explicitly. The Bible goes to extreme lengths to clarify the
geneologies, but noy in this case. The answer is the best one we can
expect, but it fails to explain that the other three stars go to God,
since He holds the answer, nad we how bellieve will have to wait to
ask the Lord for the answer.
