Are you looking for a general listing of which grocery chains operate
in Canada (with their headquarters, websites, etc.) - or are you
looking for a listing of *every single* grocery store and it's
location in the entire country?

If you are looking for a listing of the chains - how many stores does
a chain need to have to be on the list?

Can you please be more specific?

We plan to export grocery items to Canada and therefore what we need
is the list of companies (importers and distributors and major
endusers) that import grocery items into Canada, with their addresses,
phone & fax numbers, and email addresses if available (or websites).

Hi again. Thanks for asking a clarification before making a rating.
Please be patient with me on this one.

The International Trade Directory website has a list of importers
around the world. The following are lists of grocery importers and
distributors which you require for Canada. It lists 424 companies. 
The only problem with the site is that there is no direct link so I
will just guide you on how to get to the list. It is probably the
script used on the site.

1. Go to: http://www.tradeattache.com/index.jsp
2. Click "Go" on Find: Search Our Trade Directory
3. On the next page: 
     a. Select "Importers"
     b. Enter the word grocery on the search term
     c. And choose Canada as Country.

4. Choose and Click on: SIC No. 5149  
5. You will now be taken to the list.

For distributors:

 1. Go to: http://www.tradeattache.com/index.jsp
2. Click "Go" on Find: Search Our Trade Directory
3. On the next page: 
     a. Select "Distributors"
     b. Enter the word grocery on the search term
     c. And choose Canada as Country.

4. Choose and Click on: SIC No. 5149  
5. You will now be taken to the list.

Hello again. To add to the information I gave to you earlier, here are
lists of importers of different grocery items from different
countries. Just click on the Canada based companies. For more lists,
click on the corresponding letter since they are arranged
alphabetically.
