Hi yveslin...

I think first you would have to tell us what
you are considering the definition of a Hybrid
Automobile?

I can help with the focus if you tell us how
big of a report it will be. Is this a report
that will be turned in or read aloud?

Anything else you can provide for us?

thanks,
-AI

Hello AI
It's a report for 4th year university students.
The report will be 7~8 pages long and would be read by someone from
that industry.
I think hybrid automobile means any automobile that could use two or
more sources of power.
Thanks for the help

A few thousand hybrid automobiles have already been built and are in
use. Typically they are a bit more costly and less convenient than
more conventional designs, but a few people are buying them because
they are good for the enviornment. Large sales are conditioned on
sizable subsidies and/or competitive cost. The later seems unlikely in
the next year or two, but secret developments could tip the ballance
soon. ie a large solar energy production. would result in electricity
at as low as one cent per KWH about 1 PM in June and early July in the
sunnier Southern States of the USA. The negligible cost for the
electricity could make licquid hydrogen possible at one dollar per
gallon which would be competitive with gasoline at $1.40 per gallon,
which is resent low retail in NE Florida. The economics is about the
same for gasoline/batteries, so 3 way hybrids could be marketed soon.
gasoline/batteries/hydrogen/fuel cells. Neil
