How do you export security preferences in Internet Explorer 6.0? I've
set up a large number of "trusted sites" in my browser and I'd like to
export this list to a file so that I can import it to IE on my other
computers (rather than having to manually enter the list site by site
for each computer). Is there a way to do this?

There certainly is a way to do this!

1) Click on Start
2) Click on Run
3) Type "regedit" (without the quotes)

You'll be presented with an Explorer-like interface. Navigate your way
to the following "key":

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\ZoneMap

Within the ZoneMap key, you'll see one marked "Domains". This will
have all your trusted sites in. Next:

1) Right click on this "Domains" key.
2) Choose "Export"
3) Save it with an appropriate name.

Now, simply put that file on another computer, and double click it. It
will offer to merge that file with your current settings, which is
what you should do. And voila! Your trusted sites have been exported.

I hope that answers your question! If there's anything unclear, or
which you would like me to expand upon, then please don't hesitate to
ask before rating this question.

Good luck,

Good answer - I couldn't find it via a search. You'd think M$ would
make this a clearly documented feature. Anyway thanks for the answer
- well worth my 2 bucks!
